    Israeli police investigate woman over suspected plot to kill Netanyahu

    JERUSALEM (Reuters) -An anti-government activist in her 70s has been positioned below investigation on suspicion of plotting to assassinate Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, police stated on Wednesday.

    The suspect is accused of getting expressed her intent to kill Netanyahu and sought help from different activists to acquire weapons and collect details about the prime minister’s safety preparations, police stated.

    The Nationwide Unit for Severe and Worldwide Crime Investigations and the Shin Wager inside safety company have handed their proof on to the State Legal professional’s workplace pending doable formal costs.

    Israeli newspaper Haaretz, quoting sources acquainted with the case, stated the girl had not too long ago fallen ailing and instructed folks she deliberate to “take Netanyahu along with her”.

    A number of individuals who heard her remarks contacted police, prompting the opening of the investigation. She was arrested round six weeks in the past and has been launched to deal with arrest.

    Haaretz stated the girl, who comes from Tel Aviv and was not recognized, was suspected of wanting to focus on Netanyahu with an explosive machine or rocket-propelled grenade.
