    Bangladesh Embassy denies involvement of its nationals in toxic liquor case

    The Embassy of the Folks’s Republic of Bangladesh in Kuwait has strongly refuted a latest information report revealed by The Instances on August 17, 2025, which alleged {that a} Bangladeshi nationwide was the ringleader behind a legal community producing and distributing poisonous liquor.

    In its official rejoinder, the Embassy expressed “deep concern” over the report titled “BANGLADESHI, NEPALI and INDIAN ARRESTED IN TOXIC LIQUOR CASE.” The article claimed that the ringleader of the operation was one “Delora Barkash Daraji,” recognized as a Bangladeshi citizen.

    In line with the Embassy, the title cited within the report appeared “extremely uncommon” inside Bangladeshi naming conventions, prompting rapid steps to confirm the accuracy of the claims. On August 17, a consultant of the Embassy visited Wafra Police Station and held discussions with the Chief of the Ahmadi District Investigation Workplace.

    The Embassy confirmed that Kuwaiti authorities clearly acknowledged no Bangladeshi nationals have been concerned within the incident. Out of the 67 people arrested, none have been Bangladeshi residents, and no Bangladeshis have been among the many deceased or injured.

    “The official affirmation leaves little question that no Bangladeshi nationwide was discovered concerned within the manufacturing or distribution of poisonous liquor,” the rejoinder pressured.

    The Embassy additionally condemned the “factual inaccuracies and prejudicial framing” within the report, warning that such mischaracterization not solely damages the repute of the Bangladeshi neighborhood but in addition fuels dangerous stereotypes and xenophobia.
