    Iran holds military drills after big losses in war with Israel

    DUBAI (Reuters) -Iran on Thursday launched its first solo navy workouts since its June battle with Israel, state media reported, searching for to reassert a picture of power after struggling heavy losses.

    Navy models of Iran’s common armed forces fired missiles and drones at open water targets within the Indian Ocean below the “Sustainable Energy 1404” drill, state tv reported.

    “These drills happen round a month after the Iran-Russia drill below the identify Casarex 2025 which happened in Iran’s northern waters (Caspian Sea). The Sustainable Energy drills…are in Iran’s southern waters,” state TV stated.

    Israel attacked Iran in a 12-day air battle which america briefly joined, pounding key nuclear installations and killing prime navy commanders and nuclear scientists.

    Israel largely destroyed Iran’s air defences in the course of the battle and far of its stockpile of ballistic weapons is believed to have been broken by Israeli strikes.

    Since then, the Islamic Republic has stated it is able to counter any future assaults.

    “Any new journey by the enemy can be confronted with a powerful slap,” the Defence Ministry stated in an announcement on Thursday.
