    Final rounds of King Abdulaziz International Qur’an Competition open in Makkah

    MAKKAH — Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Steering Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Al-Sheikh inaugurated on Saturday the ultimate rounds of the forty fifth King Abdulaziz Worldwide Competitors for the Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Qur’an on the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

    Held underneath the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the competitors brings collectively 179 contestants from 128 nations throughout 5 continents.

    The six-day finals are being held in morning and night classes, with judging performed by an elite panel of worldwide referees.

    In his opening deal with, Al Al-Sheikh welcomed contributors and attendees, stressing that one of many Kingdom’s biggest honors is its service to the Qur’an and recognition of its memorizers, a convention upheld because the period of the Kingdom’s founder, King Abdulaziz, by way of to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
