In a major step towards deepening bilateral ties, His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and French President Emmanuel Macron attended a ceremonial signing on the Élysée Palace in Paris on Monday afternoon.
The occasion marked the formalization of two main Declarations of Intent between the Authorities of the State of Kuwait and the Authorities of the French Republic.
Strategic Funding Partnership (2025–2035) — The primary declaration outlines a long-term strategic funding partnership between Kuwait and France, extending over a decade from 2025 to 2035. This settlement alerts a mutual dedication to enhancing financial cooperation and driving joint investments in key sectors.
Cultural Cooperation and Anniversary Celebration — The second declaration focuses on cultural collaboration between the 2 nations and commemorates the upcoming sixty fifth anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2026. It goals to foster cultural change and strengthen people-to-people ties via varied initiatives.
The paperwork have been signed by Kuwait’s Overseas Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya and French Minister of Europe and Overseas Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot.
