WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated on Tuesday that he’ll meet his Chinese language counterpart subsequent week and talk about what’s prone to be an extension of an August 12 deadline for greater tariffs.
Bessent informed Fox Enterprise that commerce with China was in “an excellent place” and the conferences in Stockholm would happen subsequent Monday and Tuesday.
“I feel we have truly moved to a brand new degree with China, the place it’s extremely constructive and really we’re ready – we will find a way – to get a number of issues performed now that commerce has sort of settled in at a great degree,” Bessent stated
