    Court fines Kuwaiti woman 4,000 dinars for child neglect

    The Misdemeanor Courtroom has fined a Kuwaiti lady 4,000 dinars ($13,090) after a courtroom discovered her responsible of kid neglect — for leaving her youngsters unattended whereas she travelled overseas for cosmetic surgery.

    The Courtroom primarily based its ruling on testimonies from the kids’s grandmother, who revealed the mom had been absent from her youngsters for a number of months. The grandmother’s account was confirmed by the kids’s father (the girl’s husband).

    The son of the accused acknowledged in courtroom that his mom deserted him and his siblings and that he wished to reside solely together with his father, based on information reviews.

    Youngster safety authorities supported these claims of their report. Lawyer Abdul Mohsen Al Qattan, representing the grandmother as a civil plaintiff, demanded the utmost penalty and compensation, whereas the mom’s lawyer sought acquittal.

    The ruling was issued beneath Kuwait’s Youngster Legislation No. 21/2015, which ensures youngsters the correct to care and penalizes parental neglect.
