The Legal Courtroom has ordered a social media person to pay high-quality 10,000 dinars after discovering him responsible of insulting a section of society and misusing his cell phone.

The case was filed following offensive remarks the accused revealed on his social media account, which prosecutors argued constituted an assault on social cohesion and violated legal guidelines regulating using telecommunications.

In its ruling, the courtroom confused the significance of sustaining respect in public discourse, significantly on social media platforms, which it described as highly effective instruments that should not be misused to offend or undermine the dignity of others.

The decision comes as a part of ongoing judicial efforts to curb the misuse of digital platforms and guarantee accountability for on-line habits that breaches the regulation or threatens social concord.
