    Customs seizes over 1,400 illegal items in ongoing anti-smuggling efforts

    RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s customs authorities have reported a complete of 1,464 confiscations of unlawful objects throughout its land, sea, and air ports as a part of ongoing efforts to fight smuggling and defend the group from illicit substances.

    The seizures included 119 forms of medication, equivalent to cannabis, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, Captagon drugs, and others. Moreover, customs authorities intercepted 664 prohibited objects, in addition to 2,531 tobacco merchandise and derivatives.

    Different confiscations concerned 86 forms of counterfeit cash and 12 sorts of weapons and their equipment.

    The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) confirmed its dedication to sustaining tight safety over the Kingdom’s imports and exports, guaranteeing the protection of society in collaboration with its companions from associated companies.

    ZATCA additionally urged the general public to contribute to combating smuggling and defending each society and the nationwide financial system by reporting any associated violations.
