    Diriyah Art Futures launches CONTINUUM ’25 exhibition: showcasing artworks by emerging artists cohort

    Diriyah Artwork Futures (DAF), the primary hub for New Media Arts within the Center East and North Africa, launched its newest exhibition CONTINUUM ’25, showcasing the works of its inaugural cohort of rising artists and mentors.

    Artists, cultural leaders and members of the general public flocked to DAF to discover compelling works spanning a spread of cutting-edge technological mediums, together with immersive installations, sound and screen-based works, digital actuality, and AI-generated artwork.

    CONTINUUM ’25 options artworks produced by 11 rising artists and two mentors throughout DAF’s inaugural year-long Rising New Media Artists programme. Curated by Irini Papadimitriou, the exhibition explores themes starting from reminiscence, identification and displacement to local weather ecologies, ethics and algorithmic energy.

    Developed underneath the mentorship of internationally acclaimed artists Anna Ridler, Karen Palmer and Madeline Gannon, the artworks blur the boundaries between the true and the substitute, the human and machine, the natural and artificial in numerous and compelling methods.

    The exhibition kicked off with an enchanting panel dialog between curator Irini Papadimitriou, Tegan Bristow, Director of Schooling at DAF and rising new media artists Khaled Makhshoush, Dhia Dhibi, and Samia Dzair.     The Rising New Media Artists featured in CONTINUUM ’25 embody: Turki AlQahtani (Saudi Arabia); Khaled Makshoush (Saudi Arabia); Salma Aly (Egypt); Samia Dzaïr (Algeria); Aya Abu Ghazaleh (Jordan); Dhia Dhibi (Tunisia); William Brooks (Wales); Junsoo Kim (South Korea); Youssef El Idrissi (Morocco); Kyle Donald Marais (South Africa); and Mohamed Al Mubarak (Bahrain). The mentor artists collaborating within the exhibition are Karen Palmer and Anna Ridler.

    CONTINUUM ’25 is open to the general public at Diriyah Artwork Futures and runs from September thirteenth to November fifteenth. The exhibition is accompanied by a wealthy public programme of workshops, talks and different actions spanning AI, VR, digital pictures and rather more. Please see the September programme beneath:

    Friday 19 September | Workshop: Tales of Residence: Digital & Hand Embroidery

    05:00 PM – 08:00 PM | Language: Arabic and English
