    Eighth edition of Vice President’s Jiu-Jitsu Cup to begin at Shabab Al Ahli Club tomorrow

    The eighth Vice President’s Jiu-Jitsu Cup will kick off tomorrow (Saturday) at Shabab Al Ahli Membership in Dubai, with huge participation from golf equipment throughout the UAE and a robust line-up of ranked athletes.

    The championship will function competitions throughout 4 divisions: Below-14, Below-16, Below-18, and Adults. The qualifying rounds will happen tomorrow, with the finals and medal ceremonies for the highest three in every division scheduled for the next day.

    H.E. Yousef Abdullah Al Batran, Board Member of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, mentioned: “The Vice President’s Jiu-Jitsu Cup holds a particular place within the Federation’s competitors calendar. It’s a key platform for growing athletes’ expertise and enhancing competitors between golf equipment and academies, contributing to the general progress of the game domestically.

    “The eighth version has seen robust preparations from all golf equipment, and we’re assured the championship will ship high-level contests that replicate the numerous progress of the game.”

    Zayed Al Kaabi, Head Coach of Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Membership, added: “We enter the eighth version of the Vice President’s Jiu-Jitsu Cup with massive ambitions, particularly after our success final yr after we received the Below-14 and Below-18 classes. These achievements replicate the efforts of our gamers, coaches, and administration, and provides us further motivation to ship robust performances once more this yr.”

    The seventh version, held final yr, witnessed intense competitors. Al Ain Membership received the Below-14 and Below-18 divisions, ending forward of Sharjah Self-Defence Sports activities Membership, Baniyas, and Al Jazira. Sharjah Self-Defence Sports activities Membership claimed the Below-16 title, defeating Baniyas and Al Ain, whereas Al Wahda Membership retained the adults division title, forward of Al Ain and Baniyas.
