    Hamas reiterates readiness for comprehensive Gaza deal after Trump remarks

    CAIRO (Reuters) -Hamas reiterated on Wednesday that it’s prepared for a complete Gaza deal via which all Israeli hostages are launched in change for the discharge of an agreed upon variety of Palestinian prisoners.

    The group’s remarks got here shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump known as on Hamas to launch all 20 hostages.

    Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s workplace criticized Hamas’ feedback in a press release.

    Netanyahu’s workplace reiterated that the conflict in Gaza would solely finish if all hostages had been launched, Hamas was disarmed, the strip was demilitarized, Israel established safety management over the enclave, and an alternate civilian administration was established.

    Hamas in August agreed to a 60-day ceasefire proposal with Israel that features the return of half the hostages held in Gaza and Israel’s launch of some Palestinian prisoners. An Egyptian official supply mentioned the proposal accepted by Hamas included a suspension of Israeli army operations for 60 days and outlined a framework for a complete deal to finish the almost two-year-old battle.

    Netanyahu mentioned days later that Israel would instantly resume negotiations for the discharge of all hostages held in Gaza and an finish to the conflict, however on phrases acceptable to Israel.
