(Reuters) -Israeli far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich authorized plans in a single day for a settlement that will break up East Jerusalem from the occupied West Financial institution, a transfer his workplace stated would bury the thought of a Palestinian state.
It was not instantly clear if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu backed the plan to revive the long-frozen E1 scheme, which Palestinians and world powers have stated would lop the West Financial institution in two and can doubtless draw worldwide ire.
