CAIRO (Reuters) -Jordan is to host a gathering with U.S. and Syrian officers on Tuesday to debate supporting the rebuilding of Syria after greater than a decade of battle and the ouster of former chief Bashar al-Assad by an Islamist-led rebel in December.

Syrian international minister Asaad al-Shibani and the U.S. envoy to Syria Thomas Barrack will attend, Jordan’s international ministry mentioned in an announcement on Sunday.

On Wednesday, Damascus signed 12 agreements value $14 billion, together with a $4 billion settlement with Qatar’s UCC holding to construct a brand new airport and a $2 billion deal to ascertain a subway within the Syrian capital with the United Arab Emirates’ nationwide funding company.
