    Kuwait begins 2026 with two additional holidays in January

    Kuwait will observe two further holidays in January 2026, which incorporates New 12 months celebrations and Isra and Mi’raj, offering prolonged breaks for residents and residents initially of the yr, native media reported.

    The vacations are divided as follows:

    • New 12 months Holidays — Three days, from Thursday, January 1 to Saturday, January 3, with work resuming on Sunday, January 4.
    • Isra and Mi’raj Holidays: Three days, from Friday, January 16 to Sunday, January 18, commemorating the Prophet Muhammad’s Night time Journey and Ascension.

    Sources defined that since Isra and Mi’raj falls on Friday, January 16, the next Sunday, January 18, may also be a day without work in lieu of Friday, which is already a public vacation. Work will resume on Monday, January 19.

    These holidays enable residents and residents to look at non secular and cultural events whereas having fun with prolonged breaks initially of the yr.
