The Ministry of Inside has dealt a decisive blow to faux social media accounts which were spreading rumors, inciting discord, and insulting residents and officers.

In response to Al-Rai, Kuwaiti safety authorities have taken custody of Nawaf Al-Badri, who’s accused of managing a number of faux accounts to disseminate false data and provoke public unrest.

Al-Badri was not too long ago arrested in Qatar and handed over to Kuwaiti authorities following coordinated efforts between Kuwait and Gulf safety businesses.

He’s anticipated to be referred to the competent authorities for authorized motion based mostly on the costs filed towards him.

The transfer underscores the Ministry of Inside’s continued efforts to fight cybercrimes, protect public order, and maintain accountable those that exploit digital platforms to hurt people or unfold misinformation.
