    Kuwait Customs steps up fight against radioactive smuggling with U.S. support

    Director Common of the Common Administration of Customs, Yousef Al-Nuwaif, affirmed the continued dedication of the Kuwait Customs to boost its capabilities in combating the smuggling of radioactive materials and detecting hazardous stuff, in what’s seen as an important step to safeguard the nation and bolster nationwide safety.

    He mentioned this throughout a gathering which was attended by Deputy Director-Common for Analysis and Investigation Saleh Al-Omar, with a delegation from the U.S. Division of Vitality Workplace of Radioactive Smuggling Prevention and Management.

    The discussions highlighted the robust bilateral cooperation between Kuwait and the U.S. on this area and the way forward for joint initiatives below the cooperation framework, experiences Al-Rai every day.

    The U.S. delegation praised Kuwait Customs’ superior efforts in detecting radioactive supplies and its key position in international initiatives to curb nuclear and radiological trafficking.

    They emphasised that Kuwait has develop into a mannequin for supporting peace and safety within the area and internationally, whereas contributing actively to worldwide operations and boards on this area.
