    Kuwait implements electronic working hours regulations for private sector

    The Public Authority for Manpower has formally applied Decision No. 15 of 2025, regulating working hours within the non-public sector, beginning November 1, 2025.

    The decision, revealed within the Official Gazette on September 14, is a part of the Authority’s efforts to boost transparency and modernize oversight of the labor market by way of digital administration of working hours and holidays.

    Beneath the brand new system, employers are required to enter all knowledge on every day working hours, relaxation durations, weekly days off, and official holidays into the Authority’s digital platform, updating it promptly every time adjustments happen, reviews Al-Rai every day.

    The recorded knowledge serves because the official reference for inspections and enforcement, and employers should print and show the rules at their workplaces for simple entry by workers and inspectors.

    The digital rules now change the earlier paper-based system. Failure to adjust to the brand new necessities could end in penalties, together with partial or full suspension of the employer’s file, in accordance with Regulation No. 6 of 2010 regarding non-public sector labor.

    The Authority urged all employers to replace their information instantly to make sure compliance and keep a lawful and clear work setting.
