    Kuwait opens bidding for Al-Dabdabah and Al-Shagaya Phase Three renewable energy projects

    The Ministry of Electrical energy, Water and Renewable Power has introduced the opening of the bidding course of for the Al- Dabdabah Energy Era Mission and the Al-Shagaya Renewable Power Mission (Part Three), particularly the second section generally known as “Zone 2.”

    In a press release issued Sunday, the ministry’s official spokesperson, Engineer Fatima Jawhar Hayat, confirmed that the mission is being carried out in cooperation with the Public-Non-public Partnership Tasks Authority and can present a manufacturing capability of 500 megawatts, reviews Al-Rai day by day.

    Hayat famous that this initiative marks the fourth mission the ministry has undertaken with the Partnership Authority.

    She recalled that final August, the dedication settlement for the implementation of the Al-Zour North Energy Station—phases two and three—was signed between the ministry, the authority, and the successful investor. That mission will generate as much as 2,700 megawatts of energy.

    She added that the Al-Zour facility makes use of combined-cycle know-how and produces 120 million imperial gallons of recent water per day.

    Hayat additionally highlighted earlier developments, together with the launch of the primary section of the Al-Khairan Station mission final June, with a manufacturing capability of 1,800 megawatts and 33 million imperial gallons of water per day.

    Moreover, final August noticed the launch of the primary section (“Zone 1”) of the Al- Dabdabah and Al-Shagaya Part Three mission, with a manufacturing capability of 1,100 megawatts.

    She acknowledged that the overall manufacturing capability of electrical energy initiatives presently provided in partnership with the authority has reached 6,100 megawatts—equal to just about 30 % of Kuwait’s current energy era capability.

    This, she stated, displays the state’s dedication to increasing fashionable and renewable vitality initiatives and strengthening the safety and sustainability of the nationwide electrical energy grid.

    Hayat emphasised that opening the door to international traders represents a key strategic transfer to draw worldwide experience and superior applied sciences.

    This step, she stated, will improve the standard and effectivity of vitality initiatives in Kuwait and assist nationwide objectives for vitality transition underneath the “Kuwait Imaginative and prescient 2035.”
