    Kuwait, UAE sign agreement to protect data in joint security projects

    Kuwait has issued a decree approving the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Safety of Information and Info Exchanged in Joint Safety Tasks with the United Arab Emirates, which was signed in Kuwait Metropolis on June 3, 2025.

    The settlement goals to strengthen cooperation between the 2 nations in safeguarding delicate information whereas balancing safety wants with regulatory necessities.

    The MoU contains 12 articles and 7 annexes. It outlines the scope, targets, and obligations of each events in defending exchanged data and establishing procedures for reporting information breaches.

    The annexes cowl mechanisms for tasks together with bilateral community connectivity, the event of an digital site visitors violation system, linking site visitors techniques, transferring and refunding site visitors fines, and the digital trade of knowledge and fingerprints of deportees and unidentified people.

    The settlement represents a major step towards enhancing joint safety operations whereas making certain the integrity and confidentiality of shared information between Kuwait and the UAE.
