    Lebanon cabinet welcomes army plan to disarm Hezbollah, no timeline given

    (Reuters) – Lebanon’s cupboard on Friday welcomed a plan by the military that will disarm Hezbollah and stated the army would start executing it, with out setting a timeframe for implementation and cautioning that the military had restricted capabilities.

    A nationwide divide over Hezbollah’s disarmament has taken centre stage in Lebanon since final 12 months’s devastating warfare with Israel, which upended an influence stability lengthy dominated by the Iran-backed Shi’ite Muslim group.
