    Saudi Gazette report

KUALA LUMPUR — King Ibrahim bin Iskandar of Malaysia has awarded the celebrated Hijra Persona of the Yr medal, also called the “Prophet’s Hijra Award,” to Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah. This worldwide award was introduced in recognition of Saudi Arabia’s pioneering function in enhancing the Hajj and Umrah expertise.

The glory was bestowed throughout an official ceremony in Kuala Lumpur celebrating the Hijri New Yr 1447 AH, held underneath the patronage of King Ibrahim bin Iskandar with the theme “Constructing a Civil Nation.” The ceremony was held within the presence of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Minister of Spiritual Affairs Dr. Mohd Na’im bin Haji Mokhtar.

The annual award acknowledges two people, one Malaysian and one worldwide, whose contributions have had a major and constructive impression on their communities, significantly in selling Islamic values and serving the Muslim nation.

Dr. Al-Rabiah was honored for the Kingdom’s transformative efforts in modernizing Hajj and Umrah companies and enhancing the general expertise for pilgrims worldwide. The award is considered one of Malaysia’s most distinguished nationwide honors and is historically conferred together with the anniversary of the Prophet’s Hijra.
