    New civil law marks historic leap for Kuwait’s aviation sector: Sheikh Hamoud

    Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA), says the issuance of the brand new Civil Aviation Authority Legislation is a historic turning level for Kuwait’s aviation sector.

    Talking to KUNA at this time, Sheikh Hamoud highlighted the importance of Decree Legislation No. 85 of 2025, which establishes the PACA to succeed the Directorate-Common of Civil Aviation. He famous that the regulation aligns with worldwide requirements set by the Worldwide Civil Aviation Group (ICAO) and regional aviation our bodies.

    The decree comes 65 years after Kuwait first launched laws governing civil aviation by Legislation No. 20 of 1960 and Decree No. 27 of 1960, reviews Al-Rai day by day.

    Sheikh Hamoud emphasised that the brand new regulation strengthens the authority’s independence and regulatory capabilities, bringing Kuwait according to greatest worldwide practices in aviation oversight and administration.

    He affirmed that PACA is dedicated to enhancing security, effectivity, and sustainability within the sector, in accordance with the imaginative and prescient of Kuwait’s management. The regulation additionally helps efforts to modernize airport operations, enhance providers for passengers and airways, and increase Kuwait’s place in international aviation boards.

    Moreover, Sheikh Hamoud famous that the regulation contributes to diversifying Kuwait’s non-oil revenues and allows the authority to serve nationwide pursuits with higher transparency and professionalism.

    He prolonged heartfelt due to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, and the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah for his or her unwavering help.
