    Red alert issued for Asir as heavy rains, thunderstorms forecast

    ASIR — The Nationwide Heart for Meteorology (NCM) has issued a pink alert for Asir Province, warning of heavy to extraordinarily heavy rainfall anticipated to accentuate over the southern highlands by the tip of this week.

    NCM spokesman Hussein Al-Qahtani urged the general public to comply with directions from related authorities and monitor climate updates, warning of potential flash floods, hailstorms, and powerful downdrafts from thunderclouds.
