    RTA Collaborates with Terra to Develop Battery-Swapping Stations for the Delivery Sector

    Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced an set up plan for a number of battery-swapping stations for electrical bikes in strategic operational zones and areas throughout the emirate. The plan can be developed in collaboration with Terra Tech Ltd, a MENA-based B2B micro-mobility tech start-up that specialises in growing battery-swapping stations.

    This initiative underscores RTA’s dedication to advertise the adoption of sustainable industrial transport and encourages supply corporations to embrace sustainable and eco-friendly options. The initiative is the primary of its form within the area to advertise the usage of zero-emission fleets.

    The partnership between RTA and Terra Tech Ltd consists of the event of an built-in system to help the supply sector and aligns with the operators’ necessities for complete charging options. The plan will empower the supply sector in Dubai to transition in the direction of eco-friendly electrical options, whereas lowering the whole value of possession for the operators.

    Ahmed Mahboob, CEO of RTA’s Licensing Company, mentioned: The initiative aligns with the targets of the Business and Logistics Land Transport Technique 2030 of lowering carbon emissions by 30% by infrastructure growth of 36 areas within the emirate to satisfy the sector’s operational wants and introduce an operational mannequin tailor-made to the necessities of supply corporations.

    He added: “This collaboration helps the event of different sustainable power options and enhances the emirate’s readiness to undertake future applied sciences and operational practices that assist scale back emissions, minimise noise air pollution, and enhance service high quality for each residents and residents alike.
