    MOSCOW (Reuters) -Russia is able to resume peace negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul, Russian state information company TASS cited a international ministry official as saying on Wednesday.

    No face-to-face talks have taken place between the 2 sides since they met within the Turkish metropolis on July 23. TASS quoted the official, Alexei Polishchuk, as saying that Turkish officers had repeatedly urged a resumption of the peace negotiations.

    “The Russian staff is prepared for this, the ball is within the Ukrainian court docket,” he mentioned.
