    Saudi Arabia begins enforcement of higher localization rates in pharmacy, dentistry, and engineering sectors

    RIYADH — The Ministry of Human Assets and Social Growth (MHRSD) introduced the implementation of up to date Saudization targets in key skilled sectors, beginning Sunday, July 27, 2025.

    In partnership with the Ministry of Well being, the Saudization charge for pharmacy roles has been raised to 35% in group pharmacies and medical complexes, 65% in hospital pharmacy operations, and 55% in different pharmacy-related actions.

    This is applicable to institutions with 5 or extra staff in pharmacy roles, with a minimal wage threshold of SR7,000 to rely towards localization quotas.

    Dentistry jobs at the moment are required to fulfill a forty five% Saudization charge within the first part, additionally efficient at present.

    The choice applies to amenities using three or extra dental professionals, with the minimal wage for inclusion within the quota set at SR9,000.

    In the meantime, in coordination with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, technical engineering professions should now meet a 30% Saudization goal in institutions with 5 or extra staff in these roles.

    A minimal month-to-month wage of SR5,000 has been set to qualify for localization compliance.

    The ministry stated it has printed procedural guides on its official web site detailing the required quotas and software mechanisms, urging all institutions to conform as a way to keep away from penalties.

    The replace continues the Kingdom’s broader nationalization technique throughout the non-public sector.

    Whereas the Ministry of Well being will oversee the implementation of Saudization in dental and pharmacy professions, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing will monitor compliance in technical engineering fields.
