    RIYADH — The Ministry of Schooling and the Ministry of Media have signed a cooperation settlement to launch the “Media Scholarship” initiative geared toward coaching and qualifying Saudi abilities in high international media firms and academic establishments.

    The initiative will start with the “Waed” observe for the media sector, one of many tracks beneath the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program, providing study-abroad alternatives linked to employment in media.

    This system will goal specializations in high-demand fields reminiscent of digital media, synthetic intelligence in media, content material manufacturing applied sciences, augmented and digital actuality, digital journalism, publishing, and platform administration.

    The memorandum of cooperation was signed within the presence of Schooling Minister Yousef Al-Benyan and Media Minister Salman Al-Dosari.

    Representing the Ministry of Media was Undersecretary for Technique and Imaginative and prescient Realization Majed Al-Thaqafi, and representing the Ministry of Schooling was Undersecretary for Scholarship Lina Al-Tuaimi.

    Al-Thaqafi stated this system, supplied in partnership with the non-public sector, will present coaching alternatives in 15 international locations, resulting in diplomas, bachelor’s, and grasp’s levels in media disciplines primarily based on business wants.

    The Ministry of Media will submit requirement types from firms to the Ministry of Schooling for program approval and agreements with non-public sector entities.

    A workshop was held on Thursday on the Basic Fee for Audiovisual Media with greater than 35 non-public sector individuals from the media, promoting, journalism, gaming, and audiovisual manufacturing sectors to outline coaching and hiring wants. Obtainable seats for college students are anticipated to be introduced inside 60 days.
