    Saudi Arabia operates 10 renewable energy projects with SR19.8 billion in investment by end of 2024

    RIYADH — Saudi Arabia operated 5 new photo voltaic power tasks in 2024 with a mixed capability of three,751 megawatts, bringing the entire variety of operational renewable power tasks within the Kingdom to 10, based on the Normal Authority for Statistics’ Renewable Power Statistics Bulletin 2024 launched on Monday.

    The cumulative tasks embrace 9 photo voltaic power crops with a complete capability of 6,151 megawatts and one wind power challenge with a capability of 400 megawatts.

    The report revealed that whole investments in these tasks reached SR19.839 billion by the tip of 2024, with SR18.264 billion allotted to photo voltaic power tasks and SR1.575 billion to wind power.

    The tasks are anticipated to provide electrical energy to roughly 1,140,800 residential items throughout the Kingdom.

    Among the many findings, the Shuaibah 1 photo voltaic challenge registered the bottom power buy price in Saudi Arabia at 3.9 halalas per kilowatt-hour, in comparison with different renewable tasks the place the price ranged from 3.9 to 11.18 halalas per kilowatt-hour.
