    RIYADH — Saudi Arabia goals to double the transport and logistics sector’s contribution to GDP, develop its railway community by over 50%, and greater than double present passenger capability at its airports, as a part of a nationwide drive to rework the Kingdom into a world logistics hub.

    Minister of Transport and Logistics Companies Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser revealed the targets throughout a ministerial session titled “Shaping the Way forward for Transport: Individuals, Expertise, and Coverage” on the International Aviation and Maritime Transport Summit.

    He stated the Kingdom is advancing steadily to construct an built-in transport ecosystem centered on individuals and powered by know-how and fashionable insurance policies.

    Al-Jasser highlighted ongoing efforts to develop logistics zones and improve multimodal integration by connecting transport programs with customs and digital infrastructure, bettering service effectivity and nationwide protection.

    One key initiative is the built-in logistics zone at Jeddah Islamic Port, straight linked to the principle seaport, customs warehouses, and air cargo amenities.
