    Saudi Arabia welcomes Trump-brokered ceasefire deal between Iran and Israel

    RIYADH — The Ministry of International Affairs has welcomed the announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump relating to a ceasefire settlement between Iran and Israel, marking a significant breakthrough after practically two weeks of escalating battle within the area.

    In an announcement issued Tuesday, Saudi Arabia praised the efforts that led to the settlement and emphasised its dedication to regional de-escalation and dialogue.

    “The Kingdom values the efforts exerted to de-escalate tensions,” the Ministry stated, expressing hope that the ceasefire will pave the way in which for broader stability and safety throughout the area.

    Riyadh referred to as on all events to decide to the ceasefire, keep away from the use or menace of power, and interact in peaceable dialogue to resolve variations.

    The Kingdom reaffirmed its agency stance supporting diplomatic options to regional disputes, based mostly on ideas of respect for state sovereignty and the pursuit of stability and prosperity.
