    Saudi customs foil over 1,500 smuggling attempts at land, sea, and air ports

    RIYADH — The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) recorded 1,541 smuggling makes an attempt throughout the Kingdom’s land, sea, and air ports, as a part of its ongoing efforts to boost border safety and shield society from unlawful items.

    In keeping with an announcement issued Saturday, the seizures included 125 instances involving narcotics and 833 instances of banned substances.

    Moreover, customs officers intercepted 2,605 smuggled tobacco merchandise and their derivatives, 48 classes of undeclared money, and 35 classes of weapons and associated objects.

    ZATCA emphasised its continued dedication to sustaining strict customs oversight on all imports and exports in coordination with related authorities entities to safeguard the nation’s safety.

    The authority urged the general public to assist fight smuggling and shield each society and the nationwide financial system by reporting violations by its safe hotline (1910), electronic mail ([email protected]), or the worldwide quantity (+9661910). Tipsters whose info results in confirmed instances are eligible for a monetary reward.
