    RIYADH — Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) introduced document operational outcomes for the primary half of 2025, transporting 7.93 million passengers throughout over 21,000 journeys on its North, East, and Haramain Excessive-Pace practice networks — an 8% improve in comparison with the identical interval in 2024.

    The sturdy efficiency was bolstered by distinctive service through the Hajj season, which noticed 1.2 million pilgrims transported through the Haramain line and 1.8 million through the Mashair Metro, totaling over 2,100 Hajj-related practice journeys.

    On the freight aspect, SAR moved 14.93 million tons of minerals and items — up 13% year-on-year — serving to take away over 700,000 truck journeys from the Kingdom’s roads.
