    Social Affairs Minister dismisses cooperative society head over violations

    Minister of Social Affairs, Dr Amthal Al-Huwailah, introduced the dismissal of a cooperative society chairman after investigations confirmed severe monetary and administrative violations that breached cooperative legal guidelines and rules.

    Al-Huwailah confirmed that the violations, which additionally concerned present and former board members in addition to some ministry workers, have been referred to the general public prosecution. She emphasised that authorized motion shall be taken towards all these confirmed responsible, studies Al-Rai every day.

    Reaffirming the federal government’s stance, Al-Huwailah pressured that cooperative societies are a public belief and should adhere to transparency and integrity. She said that anybody who misuses their place shall be held accountable.

    The Ministry of Social Affairs continues to boost its monitoring position over cooperatives, pledging zero tolerance for violations that hurt cooperative work or citizen pursuits.
