    State final accounts reveal rising revenues, ongoing deficit

    The State Monetary Administration’s remaining accounts for fiscal 12 months 2024/2025 revealed an increase in state revenues alongside a finances deficit of KD 1.055 billion.

    Taxes and charges elevated from KD 550.9 million to KD 606.4 million, whereas social contributions reached KD 111.9 million. Revenues from items, providers, and different sources grew considerably to KD 1.9 billion, in comparison with KD 1.4 billion in 2023/2024, experiences Al-Jarida each day.

    On the expenditure facet, staff’ compensation amounted to KD 9.6 billion, items and providers reached KD 3.38 billion, and subsidies totaled KD 1.12 billion. Grants accounted for KD 5.57 billion, social advantages KD 794.1 million, different expenditures and transfers KD 1.4 billion, and capital expenditures KD 1.13 billion.

    Based on Decree-Regulation No. 106 of 2025, revenues for ministries and authorities departments reached KD 22 billion, whereas complete expenditures stood at KD 23.1 billion, reflecting the fiscal hole.
