Armed tribes supported by Syria’s Islamist-led authorities clashed with Druze fighters exterior Sweida Friday a day after authorities troops withdrew from the Druze-majority metropolis, the combatants and a monitoring group mentioned.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported “clashes west of Sweida pitting tribal fighters and Bedouin supported by the authorities on one facet, towards Druze fighters on the opposite”.
