The Kuwait Municipality has finalized procedures to resume its public cleansing contracts for an extra yr beginning October 10. The extension, overlaying 17 contracts, comes because the municipality continues to await regulatory approval for brand spanking new tenders.
In accordance with municipal sources, the month-to-month extension prices per contract vary between 100,000 and 140,000 dinars.
The delays stem from the time wanted to finalize tender mechanisms, evaluation new contract specs, and full the six-month documentary cycle earlier than awards will be issued by the Central Tenders Committee.
The brand new contracts will embrace amendments aimed toward enhancing sustainability, similar to improved waste transportation and recycling mechanisms, alongside stricter efficiency requirements.
