    UAE Rescue Team Joins Fight to Contain Forest Fires in Albania – UAE

     The UAE rescue workforce is constant its efforts to extinguish the large wildfires raging throughout a number of areas of the Republic of Albania.

    Since its arrival in Albania, the workforce has carried out 27 specialised aerial missions utilizing two “Black Hawk” helicopters. These operations included 680 exact water drops on fireplace hotspots, throughout which greater than 1,261 tons of water had been used, considerably contributing to containing and limiting the unfold of the fires.

    These distinctive efforts come regardless of main discipline challenges confronted by the workforce, together with extraordinarily excessive temperatures and the rugged geography of the affected areas. The operations are being carried out in shut cooperation and steady coordination with the competent Albanian authorities.

    The workforce started its missions within the forests of Gramsh, Ballolli, the coastal space of Vlorë, and different areas, following the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to help the Republic of Albania in controlling the forest fires.

    Coordination conferences between the UAE workforce and Albanian officers are ongoing to develop the required plans to speed up firefighting operations, alongside steady discipline monitoring of extinguished areas to stop the fires from reigniting.
