    UAE startups: Emirates Development Bank unveils $136m boost for entrepreneurs

    The UAE has unveiled a nationwide entrepreneurship drive geared toward positioning the nation because the world’s main startup hub.

    Emirates Development Bank (EDB) has launched AED500m ($136m) in new financing and help initiatives underneath the nationwide marketing campaign “The Emirates: Startup Capital of the World,” initiated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

    Emirates Improvement Financial institution (EDB) has launched a financing options and help initiatives for startups and micro, small and medium enterprises (mSMEs).

    The marketing campaign is designed to speed up entrepreneurship throughout all seven emirates by giving founders quicker entry to financing, digital onboarding instruments, mentorship programmes and accelerator pathways.

    Via EDB 360, the financial institution’s digital platform, entrepreneurs can open enterprise accounts inside minutes, apply for financing with out conventional collateral limitations and join with ecosystem companions who can help them in launching or scaling their ventures.

    Ahmed Mohamed Al Naqbi, CEO of Emirates Development Bank, mentioned: “Founders don’t want inspiration, they want entry. This marketing campaign is about eradicating bottlenecks.
