    UAE unveils unified system to govern students’ practical training

    The UAE Ministry of Larger Schooling and Scientific Analysis (MoHESR) has issued Ministerial Decision No. (173) of 2025, establishing a unified regulatory framework for sensible coaching programmes in increased training establishments (HEIs).

    The decision goals to align higher education outcomes with labour market wants and guarantee high quality and effectiveness of coaching programmes.

    Dr. Mohammed Al Mualla, Undersecretary of MoHESR, said the choice underlines the Ministry’s dedication to advancing sensible coaching.

    He stated: “Sensible coaching bridges idea and real-world expertise, equipping college students with the abilities wanted to succeed and innovate within the workforce. The decision gives clear governance frameworks, making certain the programmes provide structured, hands-on coaching that prepares college students for the longer term.”

    Dr. Al Mualla added: “The brand new framework bolsters collaboration between HEIs and coaching suppliers in the private and non-private sectors, making certain high-quality, protected and interesting coaching beneath skilled supervision. It establishes efficient oversight to ensure significant outcomes, getting ready graduates with the information and sensible abilities they should contribute to driving the nation’s sustainable improvement.”

    The decision requires HEIs to cooperate with coaching suppliers, assure protected coaching environments, and guarantee supervisors are certified and able to assessing scholar efficiency. Establishments should additionally develop coaching plans, formalise agreements, monitor scholar efficiency by means of assessments and area visits, and submit detailed experiences.
