    Visual Arts Commission Announces Art Bridges Cultural Programs in Scotland, Japan, South Korea and Spain

    The Visible Arts Fee (VAC) declares the launch of the Artwork Bridges 2025–2026 initiative, comprising 4 distinguished applications designed to advance skilled improvement and worldwide cultural change for Saudi and Saudi-based visible artists, cultural practitioners, inventive professionals, and cultural producers.

    The applications can be applied throughout 4 worldwide locations, underscoring the Fee’s dedication to skilled improvement, international connectivity, fostering cross-cultural dialogue.

    The primary program, in collaboration with the British Council Scotland will happen in Scotland (22 -27 September 2025) . Extra applications can be held in Japan (31 October – 7 November 2025), South Korea (19–27 November 2025), and Spain (2–9 March 2026). Purposes for these three applications will open on the 13th of August 2025. The applying window for Japan will shut on the 21st of August 2025, whereas functions for South Korea and Spain will stay open till the 31st of August 2025.

    Dina Amin, CEO of the Visible Arts Fee, commented: “These skilled applications supply Saudi and Saudi-based cultural practitioners a singular alternative to share their inventive voices with the world, reflecting the depth and variety of Saudi Arabia’s creative panorama.”

    Every Artwork Bridges program is tailor-made to the distinctive cultural and inventive context of its vacation spot, incorporating engagement with thought-leaders, main cultural facilities, museums, galleries, and artists’ studios. Contributors will interact in workshops, knowledge-sharing periods, and dialogues with distinguished figures from the native artwork scenes, fostering significant change and strengthening skilled experience.

    Thematic focuses for the 2025–2026 applications embrace:

    • Japan — Artwork and the Surroundings: Exploring how artists and artwork practitioners reply to pure, city, and conventional environment via materials, scale, and website.
    • South Korea — Identification via Artwork and Group: Analyzing grassroots cultural actions, artist-led areas, and collaborative platforms.
    • Spain — Heritage and Collectivism: Highlighting how collective observe, heritage, and social function converge in each up to date and historic cultural areas.

    Candidates should be over 21 years of age, possess a minimal of 5 years {of professional} expertise of their discipline, and current a robust portfolio demonstrating their contributions to the cultural sector. Proficiency in English and full dedication to this system schedule are obligatory (full standards is detailed within the software kind).

    The Artwork Bridges initiative represents a cornerstone of the Visible Arts Fee’s mission to increase Saudi Arabia’s cultural voice on the worldwide stage, domesticate sustainable inventive ecosystems, and construct enduring worldwide partnerships.
