    Visual Arts Commission set to launch Art Bridges Cultural Programs in Scotland, Japan, Korea, and Spain

    RIYADH — The Visible Arts Fee (VAC) introduced the launch of the Artwork Bridges 2025–2026 Cultural Journeys initiative, beginning in September. The primary program, in collaboration with the British Council, will happen in Scotland from September 22 to 27, 2025. Extra packages will likely be held in Japan from October 31 to November 7; South Korea from November 19 to 27; and Spain from March 2 to 9, 2026.

    Functions for these three packages opened on Wednesday. The applying window for Japan will shut on August 21, whereas purposes for Korea and Spain will stay open till August 31. The initiative options 4 distinguished packages designed to advance skilled growth and worldwide cultural trade for Saudi and Saudi-based visible artists, cultural practitioners, artistic professionals, and cultural producers. The packages will likely be applied throughout 4 worldwide locations, underscoring the fee’s dedication to skilled growth, world connectivity, and fostering cross-cultural dialogue.

    The fee CEO Dina Amin mentioned that these skilled packages provide Saudi and Saudi-based cultural practitioners a novel alternative to share their artistic voices with the world, reflecting the depth and variety of Saudi Arabia’s creative panorama.

    Every Artwork Bridges program is tailor-made to the distinctive cultural and artistic context of its vacation spot, incorporating engagement with thought-leaders, main cultural facilities, museums, galleries, and artists’ studios. Members will interact in workshops, knowledge-sharing periods, and dialogues with outstanding figures from the native artwork scenes, fostering significant trade and strengthening skilled experience.

    Thematic focuses for the 2025–2026 packages embody: Japan—Artwork and the Setting: Exploring how artists and artwork practitioners reply to pure, city, and conventional environment by materials, scale, and website; South Korea—Id by Artwork and Group: Analyzing grassroots cultural actions, artist-led areas, and collaborative platforms; Spain—Heritage and Collectivism: Highlighting how collective follow, heritage, and social objective converge in each up to date and historic cultural areas.

    Candidates should be over 21 years of age, possess a minimal of 5 years {of professional} expertise of their discipline, and current a powerful portfolio demonstrating their contributions to the cultural sector. Proficiency in English and full dedication to this system schedule are obligatory. The total standards are detailed within the utility type.
