RABAT — Saudi Minister of Justice Dr. Walid Al-Samaani has been re-elected chairman of the Govt Workplace of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers. The election was held on the 74th assembly of the Govt Workplace of the Council in Rabat, Morocco, on Wednesday.
In his presidential speech following the election, Dr. Al-Samaani expressed appreciation to the bureau’s members for his or her renewed confidence. He emphasised the significance of strengthening Arab cooperation in all judicial issues, consistent with the resolutions of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers.
The assembly addressed the Arab Conference for the Suppression of Terrorism and its implementation mechanisms, in addition to the promotion of Arab and worldwide cooperation in combating terrorism.
The session additionally reviewed proposals for harmonizing Arab laws, together with the draft Arab Mannequin Legislation on Combating Narcotic Medicine and Psychotropic Substances and the draft Arab Guiding Legislation on the Safety and Help of Internally Displaced Individuals in Arab States
