    Dubai Culture concludes participation in UNESCO Creative Cities Network meeting – Arts & culture

     Dubai Tradition and Arts Authority (Dubai Tradition) has wrapped up its participation within the UNESCO Inventive Cities Community (UCCN) subnetwork assembly, a discussion board designed to deepen cooperation amongst cities that combine creativity into city improvement.

    The engagement displays Dubai Tradition’s ongoing dedication to solidify Dubai’s management and place on the worldwide map as a world centre for tradition, an incubator for creativity and a thriving hub for expertise.

    Through the assembly held in Saint-Étienne, France, Khulood Khoory, Director of the Tasks and Occasions Division at Dubai Tradition, delivered a presentation on finest practices on useful resource and materials innovation that explored how Dubai is harnessing native biomass from palm bushes to form tomorrow’s supplies.

    She outlined how the emirate is rethinking its pure sources, driving sustainable design innovation and advancing the ideas of a round economic system, all in assist of the United Nations’ Sustainable Improvement Objectives (SDGs).

    On the sidelines of the assembly, Dubai took half within the thirteenth version of the Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Étienne, showcasing works by Emirati creatives together with “Ramel” by designer Kholoud Sharafi and “Tibrah” by product designer and architect Reema AlMheiri.

    Moreover, town was represented on the inaugural Covilhã Worldwide Design Triennial in Portugal with “Palm Repose,” a bench set up by Emirati architectural photographer Majid Al Bastaki, impressed by conventional farming landscapes.

    Reflecting on the occasions, Khulood famous that these platforms amplify town’s voice on the world stage and create new alternatives for each rising and established expertise.
