    Dubai to complete traffic upgrades at Healthcare City and slash congestion by 50%

    Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is ready to finish a significant improve on the Dubai Healthcare Metropolis exit (Avenue 13) on July 20, aimed toward considerably bettering visitors stream and lowering congestion in one of many emirate’s busiest corridors.

    The enhancements will remodel the stop-controlled exit right into a free-flowing intersection, with the addition of a brand new acceleration lane connecting to Oud Metha and Sheikh Rashid Highway.

    In parallel, the present service street exit is being widened from one lane to 2, extending 500m to accommodate increased visitors volumes from Al Riyadh Avenue.

    Dubai Healthcare Metropolis visitors increase

    • Car capability doubled to three,000 automobiles per hour
    • As much as 50 per cent discount in ready instances
    • Smoother exit from Dubai Healthcare Metropolis, particularly throughout peak hours

    The mission is a part of RTA’s broader technique to extend street community capability, enhance visitors effectivity, and improve security throughout town’s busiest city areas.

    The situation serves a high-density mixture of hospitals, clinics, colleges, companies, and residential neighbourhoods, making clean visitors stream essential to day by day operations.

    The brand new enhancements comply with a sequence of earlier infrastructure enhancements within the space, together with:

    • New acceleration and deceleration lanes between Umm Hurair and Oud Metha
    • Growth of the Umm Hurair service street from two lanes to 3, boosting capability by 50 per cent and slicing congestion by over 40 per cent

    Collectively, these initiatives are reshaping mobility in central Dubai, lowering bottlenecks and aligning with town’s dedication to future-ready transport infrastructure.
