    Etihad Airways first Airbus A321LR enters service August 2025

    Etihad Airways will start industrial service with its first Airbus A321LR plane on 1st August 2025, following completion of ultimate preparations at Zayed Worldwide Airport.

    The provider plans to deploy the plane on the Abu Dhabi-Phuket route initially, earlier than extending operations to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Copenhagen, Milan, Paris, and Zurich.

    The A321LR, working below flight quantity EY3210, touched down at Zayed Worldwide Airport on Friday. Etihad staff and stakeholders gathered on the airport to mark the plane’s arrival.

    The supply varieties a part of the airline’s growth programme, which has seen the airline launch or announce 27 new routes this 12 months. The provider expects to obtain 9 extra A321LR plane throughout 2025.

    The fleet addition helps Abu Dhabi’s improvement as a world aviation hub and advances the airline’s Journey 2030 strategy, which targets carrying 38 million passengers yearly.

    The A321LR allows airways to function on routes beforehand requiring wide-body plane, combining gas effectivity with vary capabilities of as much as 4,000 nautical miles.
