    Dubai-based service flydubai has begun development of its new Plane Upkeep Centre at Dubai South.

    The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by a senior delegation led by Khalifa Al Zaffin, Govt Chairman of Dubai Aviation Metropolis Company and Dubai South, who joined Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Govt Officer of flydubai, in addition to representatives from the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH).

    The undertaking follows an settlement signed between flydubai and MBRAH on the 2023 Dubai Airshow for the service’s first purpose-built Plane Upkeep Centre.
