    GACA imposes SR2.8 million in fines for 87 civil aviation violations in Q2 2025

    RIYADH —The Normal Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) introduced that it imposed monetary penalties exceeding SR2.8 million for a complete of 87 civil aviation violations throughout the second quarter of 2025.

    The fines had been slapped on entities and people who didn’t adjust to the Civil Aviation Regulation, government guidelines, and directives issued by GACA, in keeping with a report by GACA’s pertinent committee.

    Of the overall, 63 violations had been recorded in opposition to air carriers for not adhering to the Passenger Rights Safety Regulation, leading to fines exceeding SR1.9 million. Moreover, SR70,000 in fines had been issued for 13 violations by air carriers for failing to confirm required passenger documentation and for not adhering to accepted time slots. GACA additionally imposed SR775,000 in fines for 8 violations in opposition to corporations and air carriers for non-compliance with its laws and directions.

    Relating to people, a complete of SR10,000 in fines was imposed for 3 violations by passengers for failing to adjust to the provisions of the Civil Aviation Regulation and for partaking in inappropriate conduct onboard plane.

    GACA emphasised that these actions mirror its dedication to transparency and readability, reaffirming its ongoing regulatory and supervisory position within the aviation sector. The authority underscored its dedication to enhancing the passenger expertise and bettering the standard of air transport providers in Saudi Arabia.
