    Gulf Railway Project: Trains to connect UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain by 2030

    The Gulf Railway Authority has introduced that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations are persevering with their coordinated efforts to finish the Gulf Railway Project by December 2030, the agreed ultimate deadline for supply.

    Mohammed bin Fahad Al Shabrami, Director Common of the Gulf Railway Authority, made the remarks the second version of the International Rail 2025 Exhibition and Congress in Abu Dhabi.

    He described the initiative as one of many area’s most strategic initiatives, designed to attach all six GCC states by way of a community extending roughly 2,117km.

    Gulf Railway Undertaking

    Al Shabrami stated GCC member states are working in an built-in method to finalise the undertaking’s linkage phases.

    The Gulf Railway shall be totally related to every nation’s nationwide networks, forming a pivotal a part of the regional transport system and boosting financial integration.

    The undertaking shall be linked with key ports and logistics centres throughout the GCC, which is predicted to positively affect the economic system by growing the move of products and easing cross-border passenger motion.

    Passenger trains on the Gulf Rail are planned to operate at speeds of more than 200kmph, while freight trains will run between 80 and 120kmph.

    In accordance with Al Shabrami, these specs will improve transport effectivity whereas supporting sustainable improvement throughout the area.
