    His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait in his opening remarks to the Ninth Gulf-European Enterprise Discussion board which was held underneath his patronage on the Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Middle praised the rising commerce and funding ties between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union (EU), which now exceed 150 billion euros yearly.

    He expressed hope that the discussion board which is being held underneath the slogan “Collectively for Frequent Prosperity.”
    will function a roadmap towards shared prosperity and sustainable progress within the coming years.

    His Highness welcomed contributors to Kuwait, noting that the occasion — organized in partnership with the Ministry of International Affairs, the Kuwait Direct Funding Promotion Authority (KDIPA), the European Union, and the GCC Secretariat Common — displays Kuwait’s dedication to fostering constructive international partnerships.

    Emphasizing the nation’s readiness to steer and adapt to alter, His Highness reaffirmed Kuwait’s dedication to its New Kuwait 2035 Imaginative and prescient, constructed upon ideas of peace, safety, and worldwide cooperation.

    He recalled that Kuwait has hosted a number of landmark occasions underscoring its energetic international function, together with the Third EU-GCC Discussion board in 2019 and the twenty ninth Ministerial Assembly of the EU-GCC Joint Council of International Ministers in October 2024.

    These, he stated, exemplify a deep and strategic partnership addressing challenges reminiscent of vitality safety, sustainability, and geopolitical stability.

    Highlighting the long-standing relationship between the GCC and the EU — anchored within the 1989 Cooperation Settlement and strengthened by the 2024 Brussels Summit — His Highness described it as a mannequin for worldwide collaboration aimed toward selling financial diversification, climate-friendly commerce, innovation, digital transformation, and vitality safety.

    “The cooperation between our areas,” he stated, “extends throughout important sectors together with renewable vitality, superior know-how, healthcare, meals safety, and revolutionary industries — all of which kind the pillars of stability, prosperity, and openness.”

    GCC Secretary-Common Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi additionally addressed the discussion board, emphasizing the historic and strategic nature of Gulf-European relations and the increasing commerce and funding ties between each side.

    Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director Common of KDIPA, highlighted the depth of Gulf-European relations and expressed hope that the discussion board would function an efficient platform for sharing concepts, visions, and experience.

    European Union Commissioner for Commerce and Financial Safety Maroš Šefčovič echoed related optimism, expressing confidence that commerce, funding, and growth cooperation between the GCC and EU will proceed to develop. He famous his conferences with Kuwaiti officers aimed toward enhancing financial collaboration.

    The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Subaih Abdulaziz Al-Mukhaizeem, Minister of Electrical energy, Water and Renewable Power, Minister of Finance, and Appearing Minister of State for Financial Affairs and Funding; Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah; EU Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič; GCC Secretary-Common Jassim Al-Budaiwi; together with senior officers, enterprise leaders, and representatives from the GCC and European Union.
